Job Search Queries

By Paul Morris

I Love Google advanced Search Operators (or Boolean Search as most smart people call them) hence I was looking forward to learning something from the life hacker  post on advanced job search queries.

It turns out the article is trying to be too smart for its own good.

Whilst Google advanced search operators rock for many SEO tasks I do not think they are necessary for the vast majority of normal job search queries.

The article is right in saying that not all jobs are advertised on major/expensive job boards or with recruitment firms hence finding jobs on company career pages is often laborious as you have to visit multiple sites.

But why bother putting together your own search operators when sites such as Simply Hired and Indeed have done the hard work for you?!
